Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our programs.

To participate in our training programs, you will need your own tennis racquet, appropriate tennis shoes designed for court surfaces (cross-trainers are not recommended as they don't provide the necessary lateral support), and comfortable athletic wear suitable for movement on the court. Don't have a racquet yet? No problem! We have a selection of quality racquets available for rent during lessons or for purchase at our retail store, where our experts can help you choose the perfect one.
We believe in providing focused attention to ensure effective learning and development. Group class sizes are deliberately kept small, typically ranging from 4 to 8 students depending on the specific program and court availability. This allows our certified coaches to provide personalized feedback and guidance to each participant. For those seeking maximum individual attention, private one-on-one lessons are also available upon request and scheduling.
Surry Hills weather can be unpredictable! In the event of inclement weather, such as heavy rain or storms, that makes outdoor courts unplayable, classes may be rescheduled to an alternative date or time. Whenever possible, we will attempt to move lessons to an available indoor facility nearby, though this is not always guaranteed. Students will be notified in advance regarding class cancellations or changes via SMS or email. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritise safety.
Choosing the right starting level is important for an effective learning experience. You can carefully review the detailed course descriptions provided in the "Our Training Programs" section above – each description outlines the target audience and skills covered. If you're still unsure or feel you are between levels, please don't hesitate to contact us! We can arrange a brief phone consultation or a quick on-court assessment with one of our coaches to help determine the best starting program for your current skills and goals.
